Wheels in history and the prized white truffle of Pergola
L’Automobile Club Pesaro Urbino arrange for Sunday 3 October a cultural and gastronomic tourist gathering on the occasion of the National Fine White Truffle Fair.
Participants in the event and members Historical ACI, they will meet at ore 8.00 under the Arch of Augustus in Fano and then leave for the parade among the historic monuments of the city center.
All ore 9.30 the column of crews will head towards the Fonte Monastery Avellana of Serra Sant’Abbondio, where a guided tour of the monastery mentioned by Dante Alighieri in Canto XXI del Paradiso is scheduled.
After the stop at the monastery the crews will move in the direction Pergola, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. The city of pergola boasts two thousand years of history, from the era of gilded bronzes to the present day. It is a village rich in history, culture, art, taste and hospitality. Pergola rises at the confluence of the Cinisco river in Cesano, overlooking the valley to the sea.
The current civic tower, to which the Pergolesi are linked by the sound of the "big bell", originally it was the bell tower of the Collegiate Church of Sant’Andrea, avellanita church of 1200.
The Town Hall was instead built on the occasion of the conferral of the title of "City" to Pergola by Pope Benedict XIV..
All ore 13.30 all the cars participating in the appointment will be exhibited in the square in front of the Museum of the Gilded Bronzes of Pergola, then lunch with truffle tasting in the Salone del Gusto, under the municipal arcades, by the Giardino hotel restaurant. In the afternoon the guided tour of Museum of the Gilded Bronzes of Pergola and event at Palazzo Regina: Pantheon Rome "tells Raphael's love story with perfumes".
The stage of Wheels in the history of Pergola Sara, as usual, followed by the cameras of ACI Sport TV, that will tell the day within the broadcast ACI Historical Magazine, broadcast on the channel Sky 228 and on numerous local televisions distributed throughout Italy.
