Final details for the Teodori Cup, car race involving all the best climbing specialists, organized by the Ascoli Piceno-Fermo Automobile Club and the AC Ascoli Piceno Sports Group.
The presence confirmed in the FIA calendar by the edition 2008 allowed to see many foreign riders on the bends in Ascoli, who will compete for the public that will return in large numbers this year: the lack of limitations for spectators is one of the main news that the organizers and fans wanted to have.
“We thank the institutions that support us and with which we have always had a positive collaboration, not only in the sports field” declared the president of the Ascoli Piceno-Fermo Automobile Club, Ivo Panichi. Terra Piloti Motori also wanted to make its contribution to the event.
The event program will see the closing of registrations for the European Mountain Cup at 24 on Wednesday 15 June and for the national CIVM / TIVM races at 24 on Monday 20 June. Friday 24 June will begin the real weekend of the event with the day dedicated to checks: the sports from the hours 10:30 all 19 and the techniques from 10:30 all 19:30. The engines will start for the official practice show on Saturday 25 June with two climbs starting from hours 9, while for Sunday 26 June great show with the fight against the clock by the over 200 pilots at the start, with the first heat starting at hours 9 and the second to follow.
Race Direction was entrusted to Fabrizio Bernetti, the safety of the route is supervised by the expert Oronzo Pezzolla assisted by the DAP Renzo Serrani.
The length of the race course is confirmed in meters 5031, with 29 marshals' positions and altitude on the starting line at Colle San Marco (705 meters) and arrival in San Giacomo (1085 meters), for an average slope of 7,55% and the presence of four hairpin bends. The audience awaits the match between the Florentine Simone Faggioli (Norma) and Christian Merli from Trentino (Osella).
The race can be watched live on Sky TV 228, sul DTT 402 and on social networks, as well as live broadcasts on Radio Ascoli in FM and streaming. Approaching the event there will also be two dedicated radio and TV broadcasts on Radio Ascoli and Vera TV.
