There were many fans who came from all over Italy but also from abroad (Swiss, Germania, Austria) to admire in Pesaro “the largest helmet in the world”, dedicated to Valentino Rossi. The work, made by Riccardo Sivelli, 56year old originally from Bologna but from 20 resident in Rimini, it arrived in the city on Monday morning and unveiled in the afternoon in the presence of the centaur himself from Tavullia. It is a gigantic helmet, heavy 400 kg, alto 6 m and wide 4. Monday 25 July the work was placed in piazzale D'Annunzio with the presence of the Doctor himself accompanied by his girlfriend Francesca Sofia Novello and many fans.
The mayor of Pesaro: “E’ a tribute to Valentino's career”
“E’ a tribute to his career, a record-breaking work also designed to strengthen the 'pilgrimage of its fans between Pesaro and Tavullia”, wanted to underline the mayor Matteo Ricci. “Valentino is the greatest sportsman ever, which has thrilled millions of people around the world. But in Pesaro the hearts of the fans were beating faster than everyone else. We have always believed in him and in his immense talent”, he added.

Excited as the 9 times world champion: “E’ very beautiful – Valentino Rossi said – From the first moment I liked the idea because I have always been a great fan of helmets. We worked hard on it and the result represents me”.

A one-of-a-kind artistic work that, as well as being a tribute to Valentino Rossi's career, it can certainly become a symbol of attraction of the city of Pesaro as regards sports tourism linked to the Valentino phenomenon, but also to welcome many curious or passionate people”.
