A little less than 45 days, to get to the edition number 30 of the Adriatic Rally, one of the most iconic gravel rally competitions in Italy, real heritage of national motorsport. A CONSTANTLY "TRICOLOR" HISTORY
It's a long tradition, that of this rally, which saw the light in early September of 1994, then with the name of the “Rally del Mobile”, stationed in Pesaro. Over the years the rally has seen its passing, from Fano, from Ancona, Senigallia, Numana is, from the 2011, from Cingoli, up to touch Urbino since last year, where the race has found wide acceptance by the territory and its Administrations.
Under the purely sporty side, the demonstration is part, since the second edition, of national high-level rallying, first with the stripes of the “Earth Tradition Trophy”, which later became the “Rally Terra Trophy” in 1997, while it dates back to 2001, with the eighth edition and the victory of Franco Cunico, entry into the Italian Rally Championship, validity that the Federation has reconfirmed from year to year, recognizing the goodness of the PRS Group's work. Only editions number 14, 15 e 18 they were not included in the calendar of the Italian top flight due to the rotation of the races, and today it is an essential stage of the "tricolor" on land.
GREAT STIMULI WITH URBINO STILL THE DRIVEN CENTER
The Rally Adriatico returns once again to the magnificent birthplace of Raffaello Sanzio, embraced by the rolling hills that descend towards the Adriatic Sea, in the Pesaro hinterland, for off-road vehicles and “side by side” and will also inaugurate the 5th zone Rally Cup. Places of extraordinary beauty, unique scenarios of a territory that looks a lot at tourism and in this the receptive induced of the territory, with the Adriatic rally and its large following of practitioners and enthusiasts, will have a further stimulus. Sports and tourism, so, as a driving force for territorial enhancement and the City of Urbino believes in this union of intent with enthusiasm.
But it's all territory, the protagonist of the competition, embracing it with breathtaking views. On the one hand there is the path, partly revised from last year's, on the other there is the scenario it proposes, thanks to the trust and extensive collaboration of the municipalities concerned, in addition to Urbino, There are Cagli and Fermignano, with whom since last year a strong relationship has been established which looks at the valorisation of the places.
IL 2023: A RENEWED PATH AND A THINKING OF CELEBRATING I 30 YEARS
Thirty years of marriage to sport is a considerable achievement, that PRS Group intends to celebrate in the best possible way with initiatives that are being examined by the organizational staff and can involve pilots, insiders and enthusiasts as well as the entire territory.
In the meantime, the details of the route are being finalised, in the Pesaro hinterland, with Cagli and its area the very heart of the stopwatch challenges. A track that will certainly be of a high technical level, renewed in content and obviously Urbino will have its own central role with departures and arrivals and organizational headquarters.
The territory is ready to welcome the race and its actors and the many motorsport enthusiasts in a weekend that promises to be "hot" and spectacular, given the qualitative level that this year the Italian Championship on gravel offers.
