The 30th “Adriatico” is by Gryazin-Aleksandrov (Skoda)
Competition and entertainment, on a decidedly scorching day for the 30° Rally Adriatico, third act of Italian Land Rally Championship for both modern and historic cars and also the last act of the Challenge Raceday Rally Terra.
Still with headquarters in Urbino, going to celebrate the prestigious edition of its thirty years of history with the magic of summer, the race was won by Nikolay Gryazin, paired with Aleksandrov, its a Skoda Fabia R5, at the end of a heated dualism with the Frenchman Florent Todeschini, around a Hyundai i20 Rally2, supported by Sabrina De Castelli.
On the one hand, the Movisport driver who already won the previous match in San Marino (he was vice WRC-2 World Champion in 2022) and on the other the transalpine vice champion on clay, who engaged in an exhilarating back-and-forth that significantly distanced them from the rest of the qualified competition at the start. Throughout the competition Gryazin and Todeschini did not hold back, the attack of one was echoed by the response of the other, taking turns at the top for the first lap of three tests. Then, from the fourth test Gryazin took the lead with nine tenths, to then extend from the next two, thus forcefully signing his second tricolor laurel. Todeschini therefore second, good at interpreting the special test techniques around Cagli as best as possible, his second competitive opportunity in Italy (after the “Tuscan Rewind” of 2020).
Podium completed by Paolo Andreucci, which has always played a leading role in the Marche region (his four victories in this race). Flanked by Briani, the highly decorated driver from Lucca from Castelnuovo Garfagnana suffered throughout the first lap from "sweeping" the road by starting first, and then being able to keep the pace well until the checkered flag, confirming its Championship leadership.
