Sunday 29 September 2024 will take place 15a edition of “On the streets of Dorino, Pesaro-Cantiano”, tourist event with tests reserved for ASI certified vintage cars built by 2004 which retraces the roads of the Pesaro hinterland.
The classic event of the Dorino Serafini club of Pesaro returns on the day when "NATIONAL VINTAGE VEHICLE DAY" is celebrated at a national level.
This year to celebrate PESARO ITALIAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE 2024 the event starts from Pesaro at Palla di Pomodoro.
The event is part of the ASI CRONO TROPHY, a tourist event with skill tests and is dedicated to the late GABRIELE D'OVIDIO, founding member of the’
Autoclub Storico Pesaro Dorino Serafini and first president of the club.
The skill tests will take place in Pesaro on the Lungomare Nazario Sauro from the Casco di Valentino towards the Palla di Pomodoro.
Immediately after the tests around 10,15 there will be a streaming connection with the ASI world .
And then the departure for Cantiano whose mayor in 2022, after bringing him a donation for the disastrous earthquake, we promised a visit with historic cars.

WHO WAS DORINO SERAFINI Serafini was a formidable motorcycle rider, he won an Italian and a European championship riding prestigious brands such as Benelli, M.M., Bianchi and Gilera. After the war he will switch to four wheels at the wheel of historic brands such as Ferrari and Maserati. A racing accident forced him to retire.
But Serafini didn't just have a passion for speed: Dorino was a great hunter and had made Borgo Pace his second home where the scenic roads where driving was a pleasure combined with forests as far as the eye can see where he can exercise his passion for hunting, together with many Borgopacese friends who accompanied him with a rifle on his shoulder.
THE CIPPO The area of Bocca Trabaria, in particular, saw the champion in the double role of pilot and hunter and it will come to life in Bocca Trabaria on Sunday 2 October the thirteenth edition of the vintage car rally "On the streets of Dorino".
Designed and built by the Pesaro Historical Auto-Moto Club named after the unforgettable champion from Pesaro Dorino Serafini, with the support of the administration of Borgo Pace led by Mayor Romina Pierantoni, of ASD Borgo Pace, of the Earth Association of Drivers and Motors and the Panathlon Club Pesaro, of which Dorino Serafini was one of the founders, on Sunday a memorial stone will be inaugurated in Serafini on the Bocca Trabaria Pass, the stretch of road preferred by the champion for training but also for hunting in his spare time.
THE MEMORY “Being able to remember and celebrate the figure of a great champion like Dorino is important for all motor lovers - says Felice Volpi, member of the club who lives in Borgo Pace-. With this day and this memorial we remember the great driver of the many victories but above all, for all of us Borgopacesi, a great friend with whom we shared beautiful days and unforgettable moments in friendship, with the "excuse" of hunting. People like Dorino do not forget and should not be forgotten, for this reason we are pleased to have a memory of him in the territory both as sportsmen and as friends. The great champion from Pesaro Dorino Serafini, by right included in the album of the "Great Champions" who wrote the pages of racing history from the 1930s to the 1950s.
